Umbilia hesitata is a very nice shell of South Australia. Here I have displayed 3 specimens respectively of 111, 109 and 107 mm. They are almost perfect (perfection in hesitata does not exist), nice colour and shape. My favourite is the smaller one for its dark colour, its inflated shape, its remarkable weight and most of all for its pattern with many "insulae". The picture does not make any justice to this great specimen. All the 3 shells are from Mike Hart, a specialized dealer of New Zealand.
